I have been reading Michael’s blog for several months now, but until I got a chance to speak to me him, it wasn’t clear to me just how much knowledge he has. You’ll take away at least half a dozen immediately applicable tips that can make a significant impact on your success.

  • How a regular blogger can contribute to mainstream media (i.e. cnn i-report)
  • Why there are so many niches that any blogger can be successful in
  • Why if you try to be everything to everybody, you’ll be nothing to nobody
  • How to go to the edges of your niche by cross pollinating
  • The idea of entertainment content vs business
  • Using Batch Writing to Publish High Quality Content Every Single Day
  • How to become a hub and an authority
  • Several simple SEO Tips to get some major spikes in traffic
  • The Importance of advertising products that are highly relevant to your audience
  • How to solicit advertisers for your blog
  • How to break up lengthy posts into a series and hook your readers

The mp3 file is broken. There's only a few seconds of audio and then it stoppes. The same thing when you download it. I hope it was fine before. It would explain all the comments and trackbacks :-)

Hey Michael,

Thanks for coming on the show - I really enjoyed this interview and as always you've given me some ideas on how to improve my blog =). I'm often surprised at how there are things that I never notice I could be doing better until you bring them up - and then they suddenly seem so obviously right I wonder how I could have gotten them wrong to begin with
