Jenny Blake talks about How to Find a Literary agent

Jenny Blake is yet another Blogger I discovered at Life Without Pants. I was a big fan of everything she was writing about and had to make her part of the BlogcastFM interview series. In this interview Jenny shared some great ideas:

  • How she turned the post-college confusion into a successful blog
  • The intrinsic value of being a blogger
  • How to grow an audience without focusing on the typical marketing tactics
  • The no-pressure approach to starting a blog
  • The step by step process she used to find a literary agent
  • The numerous fringe benefits of sticking out in the blogosphere

  1. This was a fantastic Friday RSS treat :)

LOVE the advice on finding an agent, the concept of monetizing through free books (how great is it?!) and I’m a huge fan of the organic blogging philosophy. Love, love it. And as always Srini, you conduct such a great-flowing interview. This is SO your thing. Well, in addition to surfing of course :)

@Jenny: Thanks for being a loyal listener. I really enjoyed this interview as well. Made me start thinking about my own efforts to publish a book.

  3. Great podcast! Thanks to Jenny for being such an open and inspiring guest, and to Srini for co founding this really helpful blog. DL’d this to my iPod and I’ve listened to it a few times. Kudos!

There is no such thing as anything set for life, as I have heard about certainty being gone to the gutters as I'm reading the book “Sovereign Individual: Mastering the Transformation to the Information Age.” Making tough decisions ultimately lead to steps closer to ideal lifestyle. Life is too short to live satisfying other people's agendas and benefits. I liked listening to the interview.
