How to Build a Publishing Empire with Colin Wright

Colin Wright may be the one and only guest to make a third appearance on BlogcastFM.  One of the things that I’ve always enjoyed about his work is that he’s always working on multiple projects. His lifestlye of moving to a different country every couple of months definitely leads to some amazing and interesting content.

Here are a few of the highlights from our chat:

  1. Some extraordinary guests one after the other, I’m so inspired I’m finding it hard to sleep!
I love what @colinismyname had to say on how you should set yourself up first, throw off the anchors first before you can start moving into a new direction. When you put on the breaks you will be moving sideways for a bit. It took my husband and I a year after we became bankrupt, to clear the depts, sell everything and then move away for a fresh start. Right now we’re in the ‘incubating’  stage, preparing and setting things up.

I hardly noticed how hard it was running up those hills morning, I was so engrossed in this interview! Thanks,
    Sarah

@squeezeddaily  @colinismyname  Thanks Sarah. Colin has always been one of my favorite people online because he’s always up to some really interesting things. He manges to execute really well on several thins at at time and if you haven’t read his work I’d give it a read. He’s a stellar writer.

  2. Thanks @Skooloflife @colinismyname , yes, I think it would be a very good idea if we (my partner) dug deeper into your books.

  3. I enjoyed this interview a lot. I’m surprised that more legacy publishers don’t pursue his portfolio strategy for their best-selling writers. Some do, but it’s more of putting one book on sale temporarily instead of a tiered system as Colin described in the interview.

In the past 2.5 years, I’ve published 40+ books electronically (not my own writing), so I’m always interested in hearing what others are doing on these eBook platforms.
