First I just want to thank all of you for being patient with us as we dealt with all the hacking issues. Hopefully you weren’t affected by the incident and if you were, hopefully you are back up and running. Now let’s get back to the interviews. I recently spoke with Everett Bogue at Far Beyond the Stars and he started to grow quite rapidly in the last couple months. In fact, when we first reached out to him about a BlogcastFM interview he was somewhat unknown. While were getting things together on our end, he exploded. Here’s just a few of the highlights from our chat:
- How to form relationships with a small base of influential subscribers
- How he leveraged interviews within his Niche to build key relationships
- Focusing on Quality over Quantity
- How to Start a Movement by Focusing Your Niche
- How he used giving his ebook away for free as a product launch strategy and turned it into a revenue generator
- Exploring minimalism
Win A Copy of Everett’s E-book: I just got an update from Everett that he’s going to give away a copy of his e-book. We’d like to support our interviewees as much as possible since they are giving so much great info. So, we want to help get the word out about their products. To win, all you have to do is retweet this post and we’ll pick a winner at random April 30th Midnight EST.

Hey,
I've just stumbled upon your blog from Twitter. It was interesting to find out how much emphasis Everett puts on content creation. But Leo Babauta (with large audience) helped a lot in traffic growth. Good lessons here. Having authority figure to talk about you always helps. But your content has to be outstanding to have someone to talk about you. So it still comes back to YOUR content.
Thanks
Awesome interview -
I know his blog for a while now - and I absolutely love it - the minimalistic design and the finely crafted messages - it's a feast to read through it.
And it's also amazing how he got so far so frickin fast !
Kudos !
This was a good interview. I've been reading Everett's blog for a few weeks. It is intersting how many areas of endeavor seem to converge -- minimalism, sustainability, food, health, work, etc. Still trying to sort it all out and figure out what my new blog is about...I know what it started as. Just not sure that's exactly how it will remain.

I am enjoying the evolution of his blog from being about simple minimalism, to becoming a minimalist who blogs about technology and the integration of it with humanity.
He is a good example of how being mentioned by rockstar bloggers on other sites is key to growth...way more important than any SEO play or blog commenting. Obviously, content has to be excellent and EV does a fantastic job with a lengthy weekly post as opposed to posting multiple times a week.
