With all of the things that people have happening with their busy lives, it can seem like it’s impossible to keep up with things such as blogging. When you have a business site, and even a personal site that you want to keep updates, you do have to make time for updating though. 1.Create a List of Ideas

You never know when a good idea for a blog post might present itself to you. Sometimes, it occurs right after you updated your blog. You don’t want to write another post right then, but you don’t want to forget the idea. Start keeping a notebook with different ideas for blog entries in them.

Spend some time each day brainstorming – even if it is only ten to fifteen minutes – and write down your ideas. Try to do this at least once per week. Some of them might not pan out, but eventually, you will have a nice bank of ideas on which you can draw for future posts. It can make writing your posts when the time comes much faster.

2. Keep a Camera Handy

Sometimes, you don’t even need to have a long post filled with hundreds of words. After all, they say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Take photos that have some type of relevancy to your blog. If you are selling crafts online, then take photos of a craft fair, or a project that you want to do, and post about that. It’s often much faster to post a picture and a short paragraph than to go into a long and detailed post.

3. Voice Software

Some people type slowly. This can make updating a blog a nightmare. Instead of typing, try some voice software, such as Dragon. While it is going to have a learning curve, once users understand how it works, they claim that it is quite handy. During the first few posts, you will want to edit thoroughly to make sure that it captured your words properly. You will be able to update all of your posts, and you can even use the software for email and other writing tasks. Overall, this should be able to help users save quite a bit of time.

4. Carve Time Out of the Day in Odd Places

You might find that you have a few spare minutes at different times throughout the day. Sitting in a dentist’s office, waiting on the train or bus, or waiting for dinner to cook can provide you with a few minutes here and there. You can use that time to outline or even write your blog posts. Whether you are writing personalposts or posts for business, you should be able to find a few minutes throughout the day to work on them. When you do this, you will not feel quite as overwhelmed. You can get the bulk of the work done in your spare time.

5. Have an Easy to Use Site

One of the other reasons that some people claim they don’t update their site is because it just isn’t user friendly. As long as you have a quality platform that’s easy to use, such as WordPress, you shouldn’t have this issue. You can choose quality WordPress themes that look great and that are easy to use.
